The Game of Thrones actress joined Nick Grimshaw to co-host his BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show this morning and was grilled about the new series and she dropped a surprise script bombshell.

Nick and entertainment reporter Sinead asked Maisie about a number of theories flying around online and looked to see what her reaction was.

Sinead began the quizzing by asking: “Jon Snow has a twin who looks more like a Targareyn so Ned Stark couldn’t take that one too?”

“Where did that one come from?” Maisie shot back.

Moving on to the second question, Sinead asked: “Okay, has Tormund escaped the destruction of The Wall?”

“Aaah,” Maisie replied failing to give away any clues.

“Nothing,” Nick exclaimed reading her reaction. “You’re good.”

“It’s because I don’t read the scripts,” Maisie replied.

“I just read the little prompt,” she continued laughing.”

“Cersei teams up with the Night King?” asked Sinead.

Maisie gasped: “Oh, I have seen those pictures. What a power couple.”

“Is the Night King fit in real life? Because I have a huge crush on him,” Sinead probed.

“So it was played by two different guys,” Maisie began. “It was an actor and then it was a stunt guy.

“Vlad, he is one the most incredible swordsmiths and he is a good-looking lad.”

She later added: “He’s got great bone structure.”

Maisie’s backstage details come after she revealed she was banned from watching one Game of Thrones scene.

The 21-year-old spoke to The Australian about a scene which sees two women audition for a job at Littlefinger’s (Aidan Gillen) brothel.

The extract read: “Williams’ and [Sophie] Turner’s mothers stopped shielding them from the show’s graphic sex and violence early on, when they debated taking the girls out of a read-through of a scene featuring two girls ‘going at it’ — trying to keep their daughters in the dark only served to pique their interest…”

Maisie added: “Most of the gory stuff I was part of, and it’s not scary when you’re there shooting it.

“No one’s really getting their face ripped off. So it’s quite exciting really.”
